The country kids came to Perth this week for an intense round of speed dating at one of the most important events on the WA food and wine calendar.

The annual Meet the Buyer event brings regional food producers face to face with top chefs, supermarket buyers and specialty grocery store owners. Dairy producers, specialty vegetable growers and a raft of value-add businesses making black garlic, seaweed butter, grass fed lamb, oat milk, jams and chutneys, micro-greens and kimchi, set up their stalls at Crown Perth to attract the attention of nearly 30 of the state’s big buyers.
